LAKE COUNTY — A collaborative effort between Lake County Publishing, the Lakeport Rotary Club, Bruno”s Shop Smart, Umpqua banks, WestAmerica banks, Lake Family Resource Center and Lake County Community Action Agency provides Christmas baskets to those in need during the holidays in Lake County. Donations received Wednesday are as follows:

? The Slayden family is counting their blessings and donated $100.

? An anonymous donor gave $500.

The Bengard Marketing team gave $100 in memory of Van.

? The Christensen family made a donation in honor of W.T. Christensen, Gaile Kreutzberger and Estelle Mariash.

? Carl and Anita Wienke wish everyone a Merry Christmas and donated $50.

? Eian and Raylee donated $50 in memory of Grandpa Mill.

? An anonymous donor gave $40.

Peggy made a $100 donation in loving memory of her husband Bill and sister Dona.

The Christmas Basket Program is in its 25th year. A total of 1,200 baskets were distributed today, 600 to the Northshore and 600 to the Southshore. Anyone wishing to contribute to the Christmas basket program may bring or mail contributions in to any branch of Umpqua or WestAmerica banks. Checks should be written out to Lake County Christmas Fund. The donation and holiday message will be noted in both the Lake County Record-Bee and the Clear Lake Observer-American. Please look for the gnome symbol for information relating to the program. We will continue to run the daily list of donations through the end of the year.
