LAKEPORT ? A judge continued a hearing Monday against a Sonoma County man on attempted murder and torture charges to allow his defense attorney to review discovery.

Thomas Dudney of Fulton will return to court 8:15 a.m. Monday for an omnibus motion hearing, where attorneys are urged to make final motions before trial.

Dudney, Joshua Wandry of Rohnert Park and Deborah James of Windsor allegedly shot, tortured and hogtied Ronald Greiner on Oct. 20 at the Lakeport man”s home on South Main Street behind the Record-Bee building.

Dudney, 59, and Wandry, 35, are charged with premeditated attempted murder, aggravated mayhem, torture, simple mayhem, home invasion robbery in concert with another, first-degree burglary, assault with a firearm, assault with a blunt force object, assault likely to produce great bodily injury and serious battery.

Three of the 10 charges carry life sentences. Special allegations that great bodily injury was inflicted and use of a firearm accompany the charges.

James, 46, is charged with premeditated attempted murder, home invasion robbery in concert with another and first-degree burglary.

Special allegations that a principal was armed with a firearm in commission of the offense accompany the charges. James was released on $100,000 bail Nov. 13.

Dudney pleaded not guilty Nov. 23 to the charges and special allegations.

Wandry and James pleaded not guilty to their charges and special allegations Nov. 13. They will return to court 9 a.m. Jan. 15 for preliminary examination.

Dudney and Wandry were denied bail and remain in custody at the Lake County Jail.

Dudney is scheduled for trial Feb. 9 in the Lake County Superior Court at 255 N. Forbes St. in Lakeport.
