LAKEPORT ? According to a press release provided by Lieutenant Brad Rasmussen of the Lakeport Police Department (LPD), Lakeport Police Officers are continuing the investigation into the recent burglaries in the City of Lakeport. On the Wednesday evening officers conducted a parole search at the Armstrong Street residence of Reginald Bruce Mills.
Numerous items of jewelry suspected to be stolen from the Dec. 24, 2009 burglary at The Healing Earth were recovered and seven of the items were positively identified by the business owner on Thursday. At this time the department will seek criminal charges for additional counts of possession of stolen property and burglary against Mills who remains in custody at the Lake County Jail for his Monday arrest for burglary and possession of stolen property charges related to the burglary of Visions of Avatar in Lake County.
LPD is continuing its investigation of all of the recent Lakeport burglaries and are evaluating other circumstances and evidence recovered during these investigations in an effort to identify additional suspects and solve other cases.
