LAKEPORT ?Rowland James Mosser will go to court 9 a.m. today for appearance of counsel and to enter a plea for embezzlement and grand theft charges.
Mosser is charged with two counts of embezzlement and two counts of grand theft exceeding $400.
Mosser, former director of the Lucerne Senior Center, allegedly embezzled money from the center.
Part-time deputy district attorney Gary Luck had originally filed charges in April 2008 but dismissed them in February 2009 because he decided he needed more accounting expert testimony, District Attorney Jon Hopkins said. Luck filed the charges again Sept. 2.
An officer from the Lake County Sheriff”s Office arrested Mosser Sept. 24 for the second round of charges.
