LAKEPORT — The Lake County Fish and Wildlife Advisory Committee (LCFWAC) will host the second part of its series on the illegal marijuana production and its impacts on fish and wildlife resources in Lake County on Thursday starting at 6:30 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Chambers at the Lake County Courthouse in Lakeport.

According to Fish and Wildlife Advisory Committee chair Greg Giusti, the U.S. Forest Service will give a presentation on the impact created by the growers on public land and wildlife in the Mendocino National Forest. Giusti said that he will also show some of the slides of marijuana gardens and camps that were shown during Nov. 21 meeting by the Fish and Wildlife Advisory Committee. There will be an open public discussion on the subject after the presentation. The meeting is open to the public.
