LAKE COUNTY ? Lake One-Stop, Inc. will celebrate the grand opening of its new Clearlake location from 1 to 4 p.m. today at 4477-A Moss Avenue, next to H&R Block. Congressman Mike Thompson is expected to join in the celebration.
Lake One-Stop is a center for business and workforce development. The organization assists employers as well as those seeking employment. Programs include paid-employee work experience and on-the-job training programs.
Lake One-Stop assists clients in reaching their employment goals by providing job search resources such as computer, phone, fax, copier and staff assistance. It also helps with resume writing and provides career choice assessments and work readiness and job training programs.
Lake One-Stop provides assistance to employers by reducing employee training costs with 100 percent wage and worker”s compensation insurance payments for employees during training. Employers have no commitment to hire or retain employees placed through the program.
