Is a big box Lowe”s really the answer?
Considering the state of our present economy this one change will have an effect on our community and local businesses the likes of which we have not seen in a very long time.
We are all struggling to hold on to what we have, to stay in our community that we love and have contributed to for many years. We have enjoyed the opportunity to provide support to our community whenever a need was brought to our attention, as long as we had the means to do so. From our schools to our hospital to our senior centers, local charities and fundraisers to name a few. Just this morning, I read an article in the paper that showed the support of Mendo Mill employees along with a good friend of the woman in need. They did not hesitate to help the woman who stood to lose all she had.
The notion that an addition of a big box store will not affect the existing businesses is just not true. It not only will change the face of our lumber stores as we know them but will also change the other local businesses that make their living in this community.
We appreciate the support of our community and the opportunity to serve you. We will continue to strive to do the best we can to provide what you need at a price that is comparable to the big box stores as stated in our ads.
