UPDATED:

The push to get longtime incumbents out of Congress appears to be getting closer to reality and 2010 is the time to start.

The habits of those who have been in Congress for many years reveals something unpleasant and unsavory about their habits in dealing with the affairs of the people of this country. Many times the incumbent has taken the habit of favoring the lobbying and pressure sections in legislation and spending because the incumbent has become dependent on special groups for campaign money.

A new breath of the Republican Party is soon to emerge to change this activity by exposing the graft and corruption that has and is going on in Congress.

Politics have always demanded compromise in order to function and get something done in the political arena. Unfortunately, we have reached a point to where just about anything is permissible and each time it skirts the law just a bit more than it did 10 years ago. Our moral standards have gotten to the point where it is affecting every facet of our life. Fortunately, the American people are awaking to what is happening, Obama ? he has shown us all the real way we are and we do not like it.

Years ago, congressmen and senators, every few years, were turned out to return home to their respective cities, back to which they had come from; lawyers, farmers, and bankers, etc. Today, that is not the case. We have allowed these folks to remain in office to build seniority systems and expansion of staff ? turning their office into a political empire.

These representatives have become the mushrooming self-expanding nerve center of Washington”s interest group politic, pumping out billions of inflationary dollars a year to succor the interest groups which keep them in office and their money coffers full. Historically, it was farmers and business blocs, but today, that has changed. It is big labor, big liberal and foundation-oriented groups and big education. This is what controls Congress and the senate for the Democrats. It is sad that our representatives, whose very positions and titles are supposed to reflect the voice of the people, being subservient to the pressure groups. It shows why some of these representatives vote the way they do and why they get some of the campaign funds they do. Regular changes of Congress and the Senate would stop this very obvious affront to the average person, that only wants his share of happiness. This election shall prevail.
