LAKEPORT ? A Lucerne man charged with lewd and lascivious acts with a child younger than 14 was in the hospital and did not appear in court Friday to enter a plea.
Klinton King, 53, was transported Friday morning from Sutter Lakeside Hospital to St. Helena Hospital in Deer Park for a medical condition, Sgt. Renee Leffler of the Lake County Sheriff”s Office said. King may be well enough to return to court next week.
Capt. Jim Bauman of LCSO said the medical condition wasn”t related to King”s stay in jail.
King”s bail is set at $75,000.
Judge Richard Martin continued the case to 9 a.m. Feb. 19 for plea entry.
