LAKE COUNTY — Valentine”s and chocolate lovers can buy See”s Candy at Bruno”s Shop Smart while helping to support local charities.
Delta Iota Tau members will be selling candy at the store for Valentine”s Day.
“Valentine”s Day gives us a great boost in our fund raising efforts,” said Dana Kearney, president of Delta Iota Tau.
The local chapter of Beta Sigma Phi sorority raises money with See”s Candy during the holiday season to support Adult Respite Day Care in Lucerne, high school sober graduation nights and Children”s Clothes Closet in Lower Lake. Delta Iota Tau also donates to Sponsoring Survivorship, scholarships for Clear Lake High School seniors, Meals On Wheels through area senior centers and more.
Members volunteer their time to sell the candy at Valentine”s, Easter, Mother”s Day and Christmas.
North Lake Medical Pharmacy in Lakeport also helps by having the candy available throughout the year.
See”s Candy buyers can ask chapter members to see a list of donations the sorority made during the last year.
