CLEARLAKE — Clearlake Police arrested Amberlynne Gail Jepson, 26, of Clearlake Friday evening.
A vehicle reported stolen out of Santa Rosa was recovered in the incident.
According to day shift supervisor Carl Miller, the vehicle had a license plate on it not belonging to the vehicle.
He said verification of the VIN number confirmed it stolen out of Santa Rosa. The vehicle recovered was a 2006 Honda Accord.
Officer Reghan Stuller initiated a traffic stop on the Honda in the Chapman Tract area of Clearlake around 4:11 p.m. Officer Stuller advised that the vehicle appeared to accelerate when he attempted his traffic stop. He said when it turned onto a dirt road what appeared to be a male subject ran from the car.
Additional units were requested and the area was canvassed in search of the subject who ran from the vehicle. According to Miller the subject is still outstanding.
Jepson, who was driving the Honda, was arrested on several charges including sell/furnishing marijuana/hashish, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a hypodermic needle/syringe and receiving known stolen property.
