LAKEPORT — An associate planner for the Lake County/City Area Planning Council went before the Board of Supervisors Tuesday to encourage people to attend workshops to develop the blueprint for the next 20 years.

Community members can help the council to manage and plan for growth, which is estimated to grow 50 percent by 2030, Terri Persons, associate planner for the council said.

Each workshop in the county will provide identical information.

In Lakeport, the workshop will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 24 at the Lakeport Senior Center at 527 Konocti Ave.

In Lucerne, the workshop will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 25 at the Lucerne Alpine Senior Center at 3985 Country Club Drive.

In Middletown, the workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 27 at Calpine Visitors Center at 15500 Central Park Road.

In Kelseyville, the workshop will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. March 4 at the Kelseyville Senior Center at 5245 Third St.

In Clearlake, the workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to noon March 6 at El Grande Hotel at 15135 Lakeshore Drive.
