NICE ? The Lake County Sheriff”s Department arrested a Nice man Thursday on suspicion of stealing property from the U.S. Forest Service Ranger Station in Upper Lake last November.

Thomas Glenn Meyer, 50, was booked in the Lake County Jail on suspicion of possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of a controlled substance, said Capt. James Bauman of the Sheriff”s Department. He is being held on $10,000 bail. Officers also arrested two Lakeport women in the home who appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance, Bauman said. Cathi Larae Larson, 43 was booked on misdemeanor possession of narcotics paraphernalia and being under the influence of a controlled substance with a $3,500 bail. Angel Dusty Spring, 33, was booked for misdemeanor being under the influence of a controlled substance with a $3,000 bail. The Upper Lake Ranger Station on Elk Mountain Road reported a burglary Nov. 27 to the LCSO of more than $47,000 of Forest Service property, Bauman said.

Sheriff”s Major Crimes Unit and the U.S. Forest Service investigation led them to search Meyer”s house Thursday, Bauman said. The agencies found several items believed to be from the Ranger”s Station in Meyer”s house and a large amount of narcotics paraphernalia. The Sheriff”s Department and the Forest Service are continuing their investigation and expect to make more arrests.
