LAKE COUNTY ? A 61-year-old Middletown man was found dead in his vehicle on Big Canyon Road Thursday.
According to Lake County Sheriff Captain Jim Bauman, the man appears to have died from natural causes.
Captain Bauman said the man was found by another motorist, unconscious and slumped over the wheel in the middle of the road. His car was in drive but his foot was on the brake, Captain Bauman said.
“I can”t speak to the exact cause of death pending an autopsy but it”s pretty clear the cause was natural,” Captain Bauman said. “He was reportedly on his way home from work.”
Captain Bauman said the man name will not be released out of respect for his widow.
