UPDATED:

This is in response to the recent guest commentary by Victoria Brandon of the Sierra Club.

Nobody should sign a petition in support of our state parks as requested by Victoria Brandon of the Sierra Club.

Every public agency and department should be self-paying; in other words they should only be in existence if they can pay their own way through fees for their services. Nobody in the State of California should have to pay excess motor vehicle fees in order to keep the state parks open. Why should the people of California pay for parks that are used by everyone from around the world that comes here? Let the people who use the parks pay for them.

If the Sierra Club and Victoria Brandon are so concerned about parks being kept open then why doesn”t she and her anti-growth organization contribute their money to keep the parks open for the three- eyed frog and the tree huggers.

Why does the taxpayer have to pay again to keep the parks open while the government can”t even make and keep a budget like all of us who run a household. These idiots in public office can”t even save a dime in good times for the bad times. All they do is spend like drunken sailors, but even a drunken sailor knows to stop when he is out of money.

When the state learns to save money for a rainy day and learns to clean its own wasteful spending then maybe the taxpayers will feel better about paying for programs. Until then, I urge everyone not to contribute or pay a penny more than you have to for any program.

We will soon be voting for a new governor and state representatives. It is time to throw all these idiots out and start over. I am going to vote for Meg Whittman for governor, I feel she has run a successful business which has always made a profit and she can count to more than 10. So far, our lawmakers have not been able to count that high using their fingers.
