SPRING VALLEY ? Based on the most recent sampling data, the California Department of Health Services lifted the boil water advisory for properties located near the Wolf Creek Bridge. The boil water notice was instituted as a precautionary measure because some portions of the water system lost pressure.
The main line break occurred on Thursday near the Wolf Creek bridge. The repair was accomplished at 2 a.m. on Friday and samples were collected for bacteriological examination after chlorination and flushing of the water main and all replaced parts. The health department was notified that system pressure in that area only was lost and as a precautionary measure they called for the boil water notice until two days of clean bacteriological tests were accomplished.
Water samples were collected at multiple locations on Friday and Saturday in the affected area and analyzed for possible contamination. All of the test results were negative. An independent laboratory provided the test results.
