Do you have a sexually active teenager or do you think you might have one? Here”s help.
First have a talk with them. Make sure they know where babies come from and that you can get VD even if you use a condom. And by the way, most kids are not anatomically or responsibly ready for condoms. Ask them if they know where broken hearts come from? It”s strange, but some girls didn”t even know about babies until they got pregnant.
I know of one girl who was smoking dope with her parents and sleeping with her boyfriend in her own bedroom. God help the children of the flower children. The girl and her boyfriend have two beautiful toddlers now.
Don”t think you can pawn your kids off to Planned Parenthood or you could wind up with a child having an abortion.
It”s not even safe to park your kids at the library anymore. The goony, red-faced old men there are into porn. And as you walk by their computers you get little flashes of naked people they are trying to set up dates with.
I”m old-fashioned. I don”t even like to see young women running around town in their pajama bottoms. It looks trashy. But these are people who God wants to get to know better. So do I.
I suspect a lot of young people have an excess of dopamine. Dopamine comes from the pleasure center of the brain. It controls eating, drinking and sex. This is a powerful chemical.
Uncontrollable urges happen when there is an imbalance or excess. This happens because of drug use or may be hereditary. There are probably other factors.
The brain is a mystery, especially the teenage brain. The drugs the doctors use to control psychosis inhibit dopamine. So, if you were able to talk your daughter into taking a dopamine inhibitor she would be less likely to freak out, also her sleep will improve.
These are only suggestions. Being a grandma, I recommend you take your son and daughter to a church group where they can meet and have fun with other teens. God is interested in them.
First Corinthians, verses 10 to 13 states that God is faithful to provide a way of escape when we”re tempted.
