LAKEPORT — Once a year it comes around, like the circus, or the county fair, or the Fourth of July, but it is never the same. It always contains variety and always shows changes of theme and style. That”s because it is an event of the Lake County Arts Council, and always committed to creativity.

This year, performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Soper-Reese Community Theatre. There will be all-live music: vocal and instrumental music of many colors, all performed by local talent with skill and dispatch. There”s a lot to be proud of in Lake County, and that includes a lot of fine performers.

There are more than 30 performers just in our show.

The Soper-Reese Community Theatre, at 275 S. Main St. in Lakeport, is the perfect place for such an event, since all regular $15 seats are good seats, the sound system and the lighting are top-notch and the stage crew knows their stuff.

You can see well from everywhere in the house, but if you want the front rows there will be reserved seating for $20.

Tickets can be found at the Main Street Gallery, 325 N. Main St., and Catfish Books, 1013 11th St., both in Lakeport; Wild About Books, 14290 Olympic Drive in Clearlake, and at the theater box office from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday.
