It was very sad to read about Anita McKee”s business partner”s dog Bogey going missing. I”ve also seen the poster at the Riviera Market in the Clear Lake Riviera. I pray the dog is found.
I wish to point out, however, that there are also other unfortunate possibilities for dogs being missing. I apologize because I know this must be a hard time for Bogey”s owner, but it is possible that someone may have taken and kept the dog. There are pet predators here in Lake County. Also, there are, believe it or not, people who actually steal pets and sell them for a profit. I just learned about a Web site ? www.animalcruelty.com and I see there is a documentary on HBO titled “Dealing dogs” where dogs are sold for medical research. Personally, medical research disgusts me, but you can go online and Google “Dealing dogs documentary” and find writeups about it. Also, there is much information by Googling “Pet thief.” Another option ? have you checked out any of the “lost pet” Web sites?
Again, sorry for your loss, I know the deep love for a pet that I would do anything for. I too live in the Clear Lake Riviera and I will keep my eyes open for Bogey.
