LAKE COUNTY — The Sheriff”s Major Crimes Unit developed details about the missing Toyota truck that allegedly belonged to Frank Maddox, and is believed to be possibly connected to the deaths of Maddox and his wife, Yvette Maddox.

The bodies of Frank and Yvette Maddox were discovered at the bottom of an embankment about 6 miles east of Lower Lake last Thursday by two motorists traveling through Lake County. Detectives arrested a person of interest in the case of their deaths, Robby Alan Beasley, 29, for an unrelated fugitive warrant out of Maine.

During the investigation last weekend, detectives learned that a truck reportedly belonging to Frank Maddox was missing since their disappearance in late January or early February. Detectives learned that a truck, believed to be the one being sought, had been called in to the County Code Compliance office on Jan. 25 as an abandoned vehicle parked on Jerusalem Grade Road by Spruce Grove Road near Hidden Valley Lake. Code Compliance tagged the truck for abatement on Feb. 2 and took several photographs of it.

However, some time between Feb. 2 and Feb. 18, the truck was moved by someone and had been seen parked several miles further north, on Spruce Grove Road near Noble Ranch Road on Feb. 18 and again on Feb. 23. The truck has since left that location and its whereabouts are still unknown.

The missing truck is described as a 1982 Toyota pick-up, either tan, beige, or pale yellow in color, with a black camper shell. Photos taken by Code Compliance reveal that the primer paint is exposed on the hood and roof areas and that the truck has oversized tires with chrome and gold wheels, a chrome brush guard on the front and had California license plates of 1MHV850 at the time the photos were taken.

As a result of the search warrants served at his residences on Saturday, Beasley had additional Lake County felony charges filed against him for cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale and maintaining a place for the unlawful sales of marijuana. He is now in custody with a $1,000,000 bail for those charges, however an additional no-bail warrant was signed by a magistrate in Maine for the additional violation(s) of his probation. He remains a person of interest in the deaths of Frank and Yvette Maddox at the present time.

Anyone with information on the possible whereabouts, recent sightings or recent drivers of the truck are asked to immediately contact the Sheriff”s Major Crimes Unit at 262-4200.
