Kids 4 Broadway holds auditions March 25
KELSEYVILLE — Kids 4 Broadway will hold auditions for its latest production of “The Rhinestone Ranger,” a spoof on two former television westerns, “Gunsmoke” and “The Lone Ranger,” on March 25 in Kelseyville.
This comedy production has roles for children ages 6 to 16 and offers characters such as Miss Kitty Kat, Marshall Melon, the Rhinestone Ranger, Hurricane Nell, Mountain Kate, Sweet Talkin” Sal, Chief Running Bull, Calamity Jane, etc. Performances will be held at the end of May in Weaver Auditorium at the Lower Lake Historic Schoolhouse Museum.

Artists” reception at Middletown florist shop
MIDDLETOWN — Middletown Florist & Gifts is hosting its fourth annual art reception, 4 to 8 p.m. March 25 at the Middletown Plaza, 21037 Calistoga St., Suite 8 in Middletown. The owner, Tina Chiotti-Stewart, is a photographer and member of the Lake County Art Council.

KELSEYVILLE — Kelseyville High School Sober Grad Committee and Kelseyville Sunrise Rotary present a “Comedy Night 2010” fundraiser for KHS Sober Grade Night, 8 p.m. March 27 in Fritch Hall at the Lake County Fairgrounds.
Comedy Night 2010 stars Huck Flyn and Del Van Dyke with special guest Lynn Ruth Miller, hosted by Kelsyville”s own Marc Yaffee. You must be 21 or older to attend. Silent auction, desserts and adult beverages will be available.

EcoArts accepting entries for sculpture walk
MIDDLETOWN — EcoArts of Lake County invites artist submissions for its 2010 sculpture walk, which will be exhibited from June to October in Middletown County Trailside Park.
Temporary outdoor sculptural pieces must have minimal impact to the landscape of the 107-acre park. Sculptures made from or relating to nature will be sited along both sides of the central trail.
Submission deadline is April 1. Exhibits will be installed from May 22 through 29. A free public reception, with artists, art making, music and horseback riding, will be held June 6.
There is a $15 submission fee for each entry. Forms are also available at the Lake County Arts Council”s Main Street Gallery, 325 N. Main St. in Lakeport.

Redwood Writers accepts story contest entries
LAKE COUNTY — Redwood Writers announces its annual short story contest with a submission deadline of May 15. The cost is $10 per entry ($8 for members of the California Writers Club) for up to two short stories.
