LAKEPORT — The Lost Boys” “Why Not Now?” tour 2010 stops at Konocti Vista Casino Resort and Marina on Friday, for the band”s first hometown performance since November of 2009. Doors open at 7 p.m., with Tara Tinsley opening the show at 8 p.m. followed by The Lost Boys at 9 p.m. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the Konocti Vista Casino Box Office at 262-3269 or online at www.clubkonocti.com. The Lost Boys are a five-piece rock band from Lakeport, comprised of 17-year-old Beau Bastian on lead vocals/guitar, 18-year-old Jordan Mills on vocals/drums, 16-year-old Matt Weiss on vocals/keyboard, 17-year-old Thomas Cano on vocals/bass guitar and 17-year-old Gary Boyd on vocals/guitar.
The teenage quintet is touring in support of their 2009 release entitled “Look Out World,” recently nominated as the rock album of the Year by the L.A. Music Awards. The 20th annual Los Angeles Music Awards, presented by Curb Records will be held Nov. 18 at the Paramount Theater in Hollywood. The Lost Boys will be honored for its two nominations including a second one as rock artist of the year, with a two-song live performance to open the prestigious red carpet independent music event of the year.
Following the Konocti Vista Casino performance, the “Why Not Now ?” tour 2010 heads south for a rugged nine-date leg, kicking off on March 20 at the Green Expo at legendary Woodley Park, Los Angeles, with a two-hour headline show on the main stage, where attendance is expected to exceed 20,000 people. Then the tour hits a series of iconic Hollywood music venues, including Whisky A Go Go, Cabana Club and The Mint, all on the legendary Sunset Strip. The band will also be a featured performer at the Method Fest International Film Festival in Calabasas and will conclude the two-week run with a headline performance at the historic Velvet Jones Theatre in Santa Barbara.
The 2010 tour continues to gain momentum with recent additions to the itinerary including shows at CSU Hayward Hills, Rock the Ink Festival in Ontario, Worldfest 2010 in Encino, Indie Music Festival in Hollywood and a two-show performance at the Sonoma-Marin Fair. The Lost Boys have also announced a return home on Aug. 13 for an encore performance in Library Park as part of BiCoastal Media”s Concerts in the Park series, where last year”s show set attendance records and played to rave reviews.
