After a few years of watching my son play sports, I have witnessed how some coaches” ways of teaching the sport has deteriorated. I have witnessed and filmed how certain football coaches from The Kelseyville Chiefs Youth League only focus on a few players. They play favorites, yell at kids, put players down and use bad language to get their point across.
To me, this is a crime. It”s affecting our children”s talent for building their confidence. Can anyone help break the cycle? Maybe a little training? I refuse to have my son stop playing, he loves the sport. I feel our authority is afraid to act due to retaliation from some coaches as some run the sport show under water. What ever happened to the motivation of players and the talent building?
I do want to thank those few great coaches who make a difference in a child”s game.
