I think the District 18 Senator, Roy Ashburn, should be commended. He recently admitted/declared he is gay. When asked why he has such a consistent record of voting against gay issues, he said that he voted the way he did because that is the way his constituents wanted him to.
Good heavens ? an elected official who pays attention to the people who elected him, rather than to himself. Be nice if all our elected officials were this responsible.
