If only one (of earth”s billions) of males were to become a “pregger,” we might see words gush out like wildfire: a tiny part of parenthood is ushering the fetus womb-to-world; the main thing, the biggie, the unimaginably greater task is nourishing, supporting ? making one”s life?long commitment in discovering, unraveling the mysteries and the miracles of life, acting as partner as this new being blossoms fully as a person.
In that light, abortion (though no choice versus effective contraception) appears infinitely less lethal: who would place a baby in the hands of an abuser, a low-life, a sleaze-bag, a dipstick ? a “Mister Big” ? with little or no respect for the autonomy and limitless potential ? for good and evil ? of a newborn?
