CLEARLAKE OAKS ? Multiple agencies responded to the area of the “Y” intersection east of Clearlake Oaks Wednesday evening for a single motorcycle crash around 6:10 p.m. Driving under the influence is a suspected factor contributing to the incident.
According to California Highway Patrol Officer Joseph Wind, Robert Radloff, 51, of Portland, OR, was traveling eastbound on Highway 20. Near the area of the transfer to Highway 53 Radloff apparently lost control of his 1995 Harley Davidson motorcycle which, ultimately came to rest off the northbound shoulder of Highway 53.
Officer Wind said that cause of the crash remains under the investigation of Officer Dye; however driving under the influence is suspected.
Radloff was flown from the scene via REACH air ambulance to UC Davis for moderate injuries sustained in the crash. Other responding agencies included Lake County Sheriff and medical personnel of Northshore Fire Protection District Clearlake Oaks Station.
