KELSEYVILLE? Kelseyville fire responded to three fires Wednesday, including one about 7:30 p.m. on the 6100 block of Plunkett Lane that burned a garage, a full-size pickup truck, 4-wheelers and toys.
When Kelseyville Fire District engines arrived, the garage was consumed by flames but firefighters protected the home and a neighboring house from burning, Fire Capt. Jim Dowdy said.
No one was injured in the fire.
Fire crews are investigating the cause of the blaze, Dowdy said.
Because fire crews arrived quickly and there was a carport between the garage and house, the fire didn”t move to the home, Dowdy said.
“The property owner said he heard a pop, looked and saw fire coming out of the garage,” Dowdy said.
Kelseyville fire responded with three engines and one water tender. Lakeport fire offered mutual aid with one engine. Fire crews spent about two hours at the scene.
Kelseyville fire also offered mutual aid to Lakeport fire during a structure fire about 4:03 p.m. Wednesday on Ackley Road, Dowdy said. No one was injured in that fire.
Fire crews from Kelseyville responded to a reported structure fire about 6:20 p.m. on Highway 175 near the cross street of Diamond Dust Trail, which turned out to be a vegetation fire near a structure, Dowdy said. The property owners put out the fire before crews arrived.
