Bernie Madoff accounting?
I commend the Tea Party Patriots throughout the nation, and especially here in Lake County for getting off the couch, speaking their mind in public and exercising their rights as United States citizens. Unfortunately, our legislators in Washington were very committed to pass this legislation, no matter what the voice of the people.
Our Congressman, Mike Thompson, was pleased to have voted in favor of the bill, as stated in his article in today”s paper. The article is full of fallacies at so many levels, one doesn”t even know where to start. It”s riddled with numerous statements and numbers touted as “facts,” none of which can be confirmed.
To use some of Mr. Thompson”s own statements, however, this bill will “improve coverage for 395,000 residents,” “extend coverage to 63,500 uninsured residents” and “reduce costs of health care by $67 million annually in the First District alone.” Tell me, what kind of Bernie Madoff accounting is that?
