Where is our flag?

On March 17 it was stated on Fox News that the Stars and Stripes cannot be flown in Haiti by our armed forces during their relief assistance.

The military compound established to assist those who have survived the recent earthquake have been denied the flag of the United States of America to be raised daily.

My husband served 22 years in the service of these United States of America and from a.m. to p.m. Old Glory waved high and proud wherever he served it; be it on land or on the sea, in the United States Navy.

It is political hot air inferring that if Old Glory is displayed “We are occupiers of Haiti.” Upon such news being heard by me, I called and established a stop-payment on my personal donation to Haiti”s tragic encounter.

I will not and cannot insult the memory of my husband by giving our hard-earned income to a country that will not honor Old Glory, my husband and I have so honored, all of our lives as a military family, with pride.

Now his fellow service brothers and sisters are being denied the security of viewing the Stars and Stripes to give them strength in who they are while in service to humanity ? Americans.
