LAKE COUNTY ? Clear Lake High School Tennis Team took Anderson Valley at home 5-0 on Friday.
In first singles, Nate Secrest of Clear Lake High School defeated John Tamala, Anderson Valley, 7-5, 6-3.
Second singles Tony Valdez of CLHS defeated Anderson Valley”s Dylan Beatly, 6-3, 6-1.
Third singles Hayden Gilbert, CLHS defeated Quinn O” Connel, 6-4, 6-2.
In doubles action, first doubles CLHS team Humberto Perez and Jeff Mulligan defeated Stelia Day and Sydney Frazer of Anderson Valley, 6-1, 6-4.
Second doubles CLHS team Darcy McCarrick and Chloe Rojas got the overall defeat with 10-7 on Laura Esaya and Maribel Gama of Anderson Valley. They lost the first match 4-6 and turned that number around on the second with 6-4, winning the 10-point tie-breaker.
“The kids played their best matches overall this year,” Coach Rik Hayes said.
Kelseyville, away from home, at St. Helena, also took the overall win at 5-0.
First singles: Moses Kuzu of Kelseyville defeated Lucas Walter of St. Helena, 6-1, 6-3.
Second singles point went to Kelseyville in default, due to an injury for the St. Helena player.
Third singles Kelseyville”s Stephen McQueen defeated Matti Oliver, 6-3, 6-0.
First doubles Josh Alvarado and Alex Stempe of Kelseyville defeated Katie Conover and Alex Fetzer of St. Helena, 7-5, 7-5.
Second doubles team Kelseyville”s Monique Santanna and Nils Mostin defeated St. Helena”s Chelsea Hoff and Callie Flood, 7-5, 7-6 and won the tie-break at 7-4.
