CLEARLAKE ? The City of Clearlake accepted the resignation of Finance Director Michael Vivrette on March 22. Vivrette had worked for the city since 2005.
“Mike was very highly qualified. He is a CPA and he”s very smart,” City Administrator Dale Neiman said. “We appreciate the service he provided the city.”
Neiman said that he will be looking at options for fulfilling the duties Vivrette was responsible for. He said after comprising options he will be presenting them to the council for direction.
Neiman said that the city is facing some severe financial problems at present. He said an accounting person was recently hired who has now been shifted from part time to full time. He said he is unsure if there is a need to hire a financial director on a full time basis and that hiring someone to come in once a week to attend to the duties may be an option.
