KELSEYVILLE — Young adults awoke to the cracking sounds of a fire in their bedroom about 12:20 a.m. Wednesday on the 2400 block of Hummel Lane in Kelseyville.

Kelseyville Fire District responded to the blaze where two bedroom additions to a garage were heavily involved in fire, Battalion Chief Joe Huggins said. No one was injured in the fire.

Fire crews were able to quell the blaze in about 25 minutes and stop it from spreading to the garage and neighboring home, Huggins said. Both rooms, their contents and the structure were damaged.

Firefighters stayed on scene until about 2:15 a.m., Huggins said

Kelseyville fire responded with two engines, one water tender and one battalion chief vehicle, Huggins said. Lakeport fire gave mutual aid with one engine.

Fire crews are still investigating the cause of the fire, Huggins said.
