LAKE COUNTY — A Census 2010 outreach event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 17 at Austin Park in Clearlake.
Assistance in completing census forms will be available. Information provided is confidential. According to the US Census Bureau, each person missed on the 2010 Census costs the community nearly $2,913 in programs and services.
The event will include free food, free live music and giveaways. Several agencies will be represented, including Healthy Start, Lake County Fire Protection District, Volunteers In Policing (VIPs) and Lower Lake High School Jazz Band. Clearlake Mayor Judy Thein and Vice Mayor Joyce Overton are expected to be in attendance.
