Did the events really happen?
Katy Sweeny, in her haste to condemn the Tea Party, forgot about facts. The only evidence of spitting or n-word usage directed at Rep. Cleaver by a Tea Party protester is Rep. Cleaver himself. Do I smell the Internet?
An assault is a crime not requiring anyone to press charges. False accusations can lead to trouble.
Sweeny, before accusing the Tea Party, should make an effort to verify the story. Did she ask any protesters? Who was the unnamed reporter from the Washington Post? The Post is no fan of the Tea Party. Did she collect any audio or video evidence? Did the one unnamed reporter report or repeat? Who was detained?
Reps. Cleaver and Clyburn are no amateurs when playing the race card.
