KELSEYVILLE — The Knights tennis team took a narrow loss Monday to Clear Lake High Cardinals, 2-3.
“Clear Lake played better tennis. The coach and their kids deserved the victory,” Kelseyville Coach Jeff McLaren said.
First singles, Moses Kuzu defeated Nate Secrest, 6-1, 6-1, straight sets.
Second singles, Alex Stempe of Kelseyville was defeated by Tony Valdez, 2-6, 6-2, 1-6.
Third singles, Kelseyville”s Steve McQueen was defeated by Hayden Gilbert, 3-6, 2-6 straight set.
First doubles, Kelseyville”s Josh Alvarado and Glenn Mostin were defeated by Umberto Perez and Jeff Mulligan, 4-6, 6-7, the game went to a tie, which was won by Clear Lake 7-9.
Second doubles, Monique Santanna and Nils Mostin of Kelseyville defeated Darcy McCarrick and Chloe Rojas, 6-0, 6-4, straight sets.
Kelseyville will be on the road today, weather permitting, to Cloverdale.
