CLEARLAKE — A portion of Dam Road was closed for about two hours Saturday following a vehicle rollover. One victim was transported via CalStar 4 from the landing zone behind Ray”s Food Place.
According to one emergency responder, an intensive search for an infant ensued. However, it was later determined that the child was not in the vehicle.
According to Clearlake Police Officer Travis Lenz, at approximately 9:10 p.m. Kimberly Reising, 36, of Clearlake was traveling eastbound on Dam Road. Officer Lenz said Reising”s vehicle crossed the double yellow lines where it struck a Dodge Ram pick-up truck being driven by Christopher Massingill, 46, of Lower Lake.
Officer Lenz said that Reising”s vehicle overturned on the northern side of the roadway. Lake County Fire Protection District personnel performed extrication procedures prior to transporting Reising to the landing zone behind Ray”s Food Place.
Massingill went to the hospital via private vehicle.
Volunteers in Policing provided traffic control, redirecting traffic at Dam Road and Lake Street.
Lt. Craig Clausen said the incident remains under criminal investigation.
