LOWER LAKE — Justin Molini, 32, of Cobb sustained fatal injuries in an early morning motorcycle accident on Seigler Canyon Road in Lower Lake. His body was discovered early Thursday morning; the accident is believed to have occurred around 3:10 a.m. Wednesday.
Molini was reported missing by his mother on Wednesday. According to California Highway Patrol, Clear Lake area Molini”s mother and a family friend went out looking for him early Thursday morning and came upon the accident scene.
CHP said based on the scene location and physical evidence, it appears that Molini was traveling westbound on Seigler Canyon Road west of Perini Road at approximately 50 mph through a sharp curve. For unknown reasons Molini ran off the roadway onto the shoulder and lost control of the 2007 Yamaha sports bike he was riding.
Molini and the motorcycle then went down an embankment, colliding with a rock creek bed. Molini was fully ejected sustaining fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene by fire personnel. The incident remains under investigation.
