CLEARLAKE — REACH air ambulance lifted off from a field between Safeway and Clearlake Cinema Friday with a victim involved in a pedestrian versus vehicle collision. According to Clearlake Police Sgt. Tim Hobbs, the man, who was not identified, was in an altercation with another man prior to the incident, which occurred around 1:54 p.m.
Sgt. Hobbs said that at some point during the altercation the male got in front of the second male”s vehicle. The second male, now a suspect in the incident, apparent accelerated rapidly running over the victim with the vehicle. Authorities were searching for the suspect as of press time Friday and investigation is ongoing. Lake County Fire Protection District provided medical response.
