UPDATED:

Apparently the president of the United States and those elected by the people to sit in the halls of Congress have yet to understand the meaning of the word illegal.

Here are just a few definitions of illegal from my computer”s Thesaurus and the “American Heritage Dictionary:” “against the law; prohibited by law; prohibited by official rules; unlawful; prohibited; banned; illegitimate; illicit; dishonest; criminal.”

Anyone who is a legal citizen of the United States and all naturalized citizens should be proud to furnish papers to show legal citizenship. If a person is not proud to be a U.S. citizen, then I suggest leaving this country and finding one that you like better and offers you more.

Doesn”t it seem strange that there is an outcry against Governor Jan Brewer of Arizona when that state takes action to protect it legal citizens against the crimes of those entering the United States illegally? The state is only carrying out the federal law that is not now being adhered to. California should have passed such a law years ago.

Phoenix State Rep.(D) Ben Miranda is concerned about fear. What is there to fear if you are a law-abiding citizen living in Phoenix? It would appear that he is concerned only with illegals living in Arizona. Perhaps if there is enough fear, they will return to Mexico and follow legal procedures to enter the United States.

Check out what happens to someone entering Mexico without the proper papers. Check out what happens in other countries throughout the world should one try to enter without proper documentation. Where is it written that coming into the United States without proper papers is legal?

The problem of illegal immigration is not new. Stop and think about it. Isn”t it time that we stand up for the laws of our country and commend people like Governor Jan Brewer and Tim James who is a candidate for governor in Alabama? It is time to stand for what is legal and right for America and stop worrying about offending someone.
