Why blame Rod Mitchell?
In response to John Thornton”s letter to the editor of May 19. My sympathy for the loss of his mother is heartfelt, but why blame Rod Mitchell for an accident his employee Russ Perdock was involved with on his own time. No employer or supervisor cannot be held responsible for the actions of one of their employee”s when not at work and not under direct supervision at the time of event.
The fact that Russ Perdock was involved in the boating accident, being his fault or not has absolutely nothing to do with Rod Mitchell. Have all the facts before placing blame.
Rod Mitchell refereed the investigation and the decision of Russ Perdock”s involvement of the accident to the legal department in Sacramento to have an unbiased determination of Perdock”s involvement.
