LAKE COUNTY — The Record-Bee sports department is currently in the process of selecting five male and five female finalists for the annual Athlete of the Year award, which covers the 2009-10 sports season.
If you would like to nominate an athlete who is either a junior or senior and participated in at least two varsity sports, send an e-mail with the athlete”s name and school and why you think the athlete is deserving to RBSports@aol.com or you can FAX a nomination to 263-0600, attention sports editor.
The last day to nominate an athlete or a coach is Saturday.
Freshmen and sophomores are not eligible for the award.
Coach of the Year nominations also will be accepted.
The Record-Bee will announce the Athlete of the Year finalists next week.
