CLEARLAKE ? The Clearlake City Council took several actions Thursday with regard to abatement of nuisance properties and assessment of administrative penalties for failure to abate. Penalties were authorized on two properties while authorization to proceed with abatement procedures was granted on an additional two.

According to City Administrator Dale Neiman proper notification was sent to all property owners concerned without response and/or action to remedy the violations.

Assessments in the amount of $2,500 apiece were authorized for property located at 16711 Cache Creek Lane, APN No. 012-037-050, owners Keith and Lucille Long; and 3151 Pine Avenue, APN No. 039-391-320, owner Tanya Dzendzel.

Authorization to proceed with abatement procedures was provided on the following properties for various violations:

? 14830 Cresta Ave., APN No. 040-217-410, owners Alan and Martha Seaton.

? 15416 Brannon St., APN No. 041-342-300, owner Ron Prior.

? 3687 Cypress Ave., APN No. 039-202-320, owners Brian and Amber Gates (co-trustees).

? 3412 Grey Avenue, APN No. 039-473-510, owner Gregory Ewing. Ewing spoke to the matter informing the council that he is currently in the process of cleaning up the property. As requested, a 30-day delay on actual abatement action was granted.

? 3476 Harrison St., APN No. 039-497-090, owners Billie Bonds and Kimberly Raybuck (trustee). Angie Zilke spoke to the matter as a party interested in the property. She was also granted a 30-day delay on abatement action.

? 14890 Laguna Ave., APN No. 040-292-130, owners Billie Bonds and Kimberly Raybuck (trustee). Zilke also spoke in relation to this property ultimately granted a 30-day delay on abatement action.

? 14537 Palmer Ave., APN No. 040-181-030, owners Peter and Caroline Kerston.
