Eight hundred and 10 Virginia academics, many scientists, signed a petition saying, “Scientific debates should be played out in the academic arena,” objecting to Virginia State Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli”s investigation of Michael Mann”s manipulation and obfuscation of data developed with public money to promote anthropogenic global warming. These people are more interested in money and power than truth. They do not want the rules of evidence in science nor do they recognize their actions are costing us billions and potentially trillions of dollars, ultimately starving billions of people.
It was the e-mail exchange between Dr. Mann and East Anglia University”s Director of the Climate Research Unit, Dr. Phil Jones, that set off the “Climategate” scandal showing government-funded scientists were manipulating, hiding and destroying climate data to promote the “global warming” caused by man, the “anthropogenic” hypothesis.
Curiously, these people are warning us against an era the likes of which gave Europe 500 years of abundance and peace in head-on violation of their phoney science. Correlation is not cause, warmer is not drier, man-made CO2 is not different from “natural” CO2, mathematical signs must not be changed to make the data fit their agenda, lies and ambitions. These are all “hanging crimes” in science. Jones and Mann are “standing over the corpse, bloody ax in hand” guilty.
The favorite accusation of anthropogenic global warming panic pushers is that “deniers” are bought off by money from petroleum people, but they have been taking billions, totalling over $100 billion since James Hansen and Al Gore made their “Global warming; we”re all gonna die!” presentation to a committee of Congress in 1988. Sensing money in new taxes the elected class went for the sham hook, line and regulation.
For $25 in materials you can set up a demonstration in any south facing window that will show you CO2 is not the “greenhouse gas” the anthropogenic global warming gang claims. Go to: http://globalwarmingnotes.i8.com and click on “$25 Proof” on the menu. We did not have to go to Barcelona, eat the entire truffel harvest or hit Copenahagen and scarf every cavier wedge, at $300 the slice to prove this is nonsense. Every science teacher should have one of these in his classroom window. Your Houghton-Mifflins are full of lies.
Science has been the sacred cow of the modern era and this is not the first scandal for money in its history, nor will it be the last. We need more people like Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, a man who is prepared to sacrifice the sacred cow.
