LAKE COUNTY — Ruben Gaona Cornejo was driving north on Spruce Grove Road near Noble Ranch Road with three passengers, all of Santa Rosa, including a 3-year old and 3-week-old about 11 p.m. Friday when he veered off the left side of the road and hit a power pole, California Highway Patrol stated. Cornejo”s 3-year-old daughter sustained severe head injuries and was flown by air ambulance to Children”s Hospital & Research Center Oakland. Cornejo, the 18-year-old passenger, Brenda Cruz, and the 3-week-old were not injured.
