CLEARLAKE ? The Clearlake City Council will meet for a regular meeting 6 p.m. June 24 at Clearlake City Hall. Members of the public may comment on any agenda item under discussion.

Public comment provides citizens an opportunity to speak for three minutes on any topic of choice as well.

A special closed session meeting beginning a 5:30 p.m. precedes the regular meeting. Closed session items include discussion of terms and conditions of employment of the city administrator and conference with labor negotiators for employee organizations.

The regular meeting agenda begins with a presentation by Clearlake Police Sgt. Tim Celli regarding the departments ABC Grant.

Consent Calendar items, which are considered to be non-controversial and will be acted upon as one, include: review of bills; approval of minutes; police department monthly report; temporary street closure for Redbud Parade and Festival; extending the existing memorandum of understanding with the Municipal Employees Association; amendment of franchise agreement with Waste Solutions to terminate free trash service for Konocti school district; review of conflict of interest code; calling the Nov. 2 election; and maximum allowable vacation/executive leave time for the public works director.

Business items include:

? Consideration of whether the Clearlake Redevelopment Agency has complied with the requirements of sections 33333.10 and 33080.8 of the Community Redevelopment Law concerning the adoption of a housing element and whether the agency has a major violation.

? Consideration of the adoption of the proposed amendment of the redevelopment plan for the Highlands Park Community Development Project.

? Consideration of the adoption of the Five Year Implementation Plan by the Redevelopment Agency.

? Consideration of the adoption of a resolution approving submission of a grant application for funding the execution of a grant agreement and any amendments thereto from the general allocation of the state Community Development Block Grant program.

? Authorization to terminate the agreement with the county for participation in the Lake County Marketing Program.

? Authorization to execute a memorandum of agreement with Lake County for animal shelter services.

Regular agenda items also include reports by the city administrator and members of the council.
