Snoopy license plate supports California museums

SANTA ROSA — The California Association of Museums is spear-heading an effort to commemorate Santa Rosa”s own Charles M. Schulz and raise much-needed funding for California museums. California residents have an opportunity to own their very own Snoopy license plate. Pre-registration has already begun.

In order to make this happen, owners of registered vehicles in California need to be one of 7,500 people to sign up for a California Snoopy license plate. As soon as there are 7,500 signatures, the Snoopy license plate will go into production.

When the plate is produced, proceeds will go toward grants that support museums in California communities and motorists will get the chance to show off their devotion to their favorite beagle. Each plate features Snoopy in his signature happy dance. For more information or to sign up, visit www.snoopyplate.com.
