LAKEPORT — A CD release party for K-Town ENT is ready to rock at 7 p.m. on July 24 at the Soper-Reese Community Theatre. All seats are $10. This white-hot group of young, local musicians includes beat maker/rapper Jay Dedrick, aka JD, 17; smooth rapper Cody Morlan, aka Preacher Man, 18; and group founder,Taj Dedrick, aka Tajie D, 18.

Listeners who purchase a copy of “Relentless” will contribute to the search for a spinal muscular atrophy cure. The concert is sponsored by the Spinal Muscular Atrophy Foundation (www.smafoundation.org) and $1 from every CD sale goes to the foundation, as well as a portion of the proceeds from the concert.

Tajie D, a recent Kelseyville High School graduate, says the group”s inspiration comes from young people who keep doing what they love to do no matter how tough the challenges. “Even though I”m in a wheelchair and I have respiratory issues,” he said, “I”m here to prove nothing will stop me from livin” my dream. I come from a very musical background and I feel like I was put on this earth to show a message. People need to realize that just because you have an issue in your life doesn”t mean you can”t live your dream to become the best you can be. I have a lot of support and a lot of good people wanting to see me succeed. My idol is Lil Wayne and I would give anything to let him hear my music. I have no producer; I am under no label and I feel that if I have the right people to show me this industry I can be great. I am Tajie D and we Are K-Town ENT.”

Tickets are available online at www.SoperReeseTheatre.com or at the theater box office, open from noon to 5 p.m. on Thursday afternoons or two hours before show time, at 275 Main St. in Lakeport.
