I am so sick of your paper letting this man Lowell Grant every week sound off, very mean spirited, antagonistic not nice at all against any conservative. The latest being Sarah Palin. Those of us who watch Fox News listen to Rush Limbaugh, etc., are what Grant calls right- wing nuts, hate mongering conservatives. I really take offense to this. Where does Grant get his facts? Fairy Land? Just the same old mantra whining, wet-diaper cry baby, left leaning liberal ranting.
I am a conservative. I believe in God. I”m a Christian person and have a college education. I do read a lot. One publication being the Wall Street Journal. I have been to a couple of Tea Parties, which Grant calls these folks right-wing nuts to the right. I saw the nicest bunch of down-to-earth people you could ever meet at the Tea Party rallies I went to. They were Americans concerned for our country”s future. Obama and, yes, George Bush before him, I was not happy with either, the spending is out of control. This cannot be sustained. Grant is always blaming somebody else, just like Obama. Never his fault. It”s always the Republicans or those dangerous conservatives.
Sarah Palin is just one of the few who have dared to speak out against this Obama administration and she is being crucified by the left. Well, how do you like hope and change now? Wait until the Bush tax hikes expire and Obama”s new taxes kick in. You”re really going to see the economy dive. Rich people will just take a financial position to hide their money, by tightening their belts, not spending, not creating new jobs or making new businesses. All of us will suffer.
Grant has a business. I would think he would want to make money and be rich. So why take the position that our government is doing ? more taxing and redistribution of wealth to those who don”t pay taxes or work.
The people surrounding President Obama are extremists revolutionaries to the extreme left. They are scary people. I have always said “birds of a feather flock together,” and “If it”s a duck, quacks like a duck it is
a duck.” Obama is both a duck and a bird.
Solutions? I will suggest a few. Keep the Bush Tax cuts permanent. Add another income tax cut overall for everyone. Do away with the payroll tax for awhile. One year maybe. Cut government a lot.
I”d cut out the 1099s and let people deduct their garbage bills and utility bills. Believe me, you would see a change in the economy for the better. Under Obama we have had more expansion of government and more regulation. More debt than ever before. A private company CEO when faced with a shortfall of income cuts expenses. So should government.
