Lakeport”s fireworks stands must have done a bang-up business, as most everyone around the lake got them. We stayed over at my sisters beach house in Clearlake over the Fourth of July weekend to spare our dogs the panic, and get some rest. Guess what? They had an arsenal over there, up and down and behind us. Even with calming medications, one dog hid under the bed shaking, the older dog laid by me panting and shaking all night. Does anyone care?
