CLEARLAKE — The Clearlake City Council will meet for a regular meeting 6 p.m. July 8 at Clearlake City Hall. Members of the public may comment on any agenda item under discussion. Public comment provides citizens an opportunity to speak for three minutes on any topic of choice as well.

Consent Calendar items, which are considered to be non-controversial and will be acted upon as one, include: review of bills; authorization for Lake County to carry out the responsibilities of the Used Oil Payment Program; authorization to execute a memorandum of understanding with the Clearlake Police Association; and authorization to execute an agreement with Creative Outdoor Advertising for a public space recycling program.

Business items include:

? Consideration of a volunteer program to conduct an invasive species inspection program.

? Consideration of the adoption of the proposed amendment of the Redevelopment Plan for the Highlands Park Community Development Project.

? Consideration of a notice of violation appeal by Dorothy J. Williams, 3945 Laddell Avenue.

? Consideration of a notice of violation appeal by Jay Borkenhagen, 3624 Kullbedah Street.

? Public hearing to consider confirmation of assessments for abatement.

? Consideration of an employment agreement for positions of city administrator, executive director of the Clearlake Redevelopment Agency and the community development director.

? Temporary elimination of the code enforcement department.

Regular agenda items also include reports by the city administrator and members of the council. Staff reports for each agenda item are available for review at City Hall, 14050 Olympic Drive, during regular business hours.
